The association

Creating spaces where
different perspectives
can meet.

Le Renversé is a non-profit cultural association based in Lausanne that uses art and culture as tools for mediation, participation and intercultural dialogue.

Founded by Swiss and Brazilian professionals from different artistic backgrounds, it develops projects that foster encounters between people, the circulation of stories and recognition of cultural diversity.

Why
Le Renversé

Changing the order of things to see differently.

Café au lait dans une tasse jaune sur une table bleue.

The name is inspired by the well-known Vaud café au lait, in which the milk is poured before the coffee.

We saw it as a metaphor for our approach: a blend in which each element retains its identity while giving rise to something new.

Le Renversé is also an invitation to shift perspective: to look differently, listen differently, question what seems self-evident and allow encounters to change the way we see.

Since 2019

Two paths meet.

The association was born in 2019 from the meeting of filmmakers Cristina Müller et Tila Chitunda, brought together by a shared conviction: cinema can bring people closer and open up new perspectives.

Reflecting this encounter between Switzerland and Brazil, Le Renversé’s projects are rooted in dialogue between these two cultures and are gradually opening up to the plurality of communities, stories and cinemas present in Switzerland.

Our mission

Creating spaces for encounter and dialogue through art.

Le Renversé develops cultural projects that encourage exchange between people, cultures and territories. Today, cinema is its main meeting point: a way to circulate stories, bring perspectives into dialogue and open conversations grounded in different experiences.

Born from dialogue between Switzerland and Brazil, our work is part of a broader perspective: making space for the diversity of life paths and imaginaries present in Switzerland, and contributing to social cohesion through artistic creation and cultural mediation.
